Snow Day!

Last winter was a mild winter, or that is what everyone was telling me.  Though I don’t know much about the winters here I do know that Kansas got more snow than Canada did last year.  With the little snow that we did get, there was little time to do any thing with it between work and family life.

            One day, when it snowed, Jeff and I decided to go sledding.  Though just the two of us would have had great fun all by our selves, we thought it was a great idea to invite some of our friends to come with us.  The family we invited has three children.  When everyone finally got to the site, with gear on, and with sleds and shovels in hand, we were ready to go. 

In group that was with us there was; two adult men, two boys, a girl and me.  There were about four sleds at this adventure.  Everyone took turns going up and down the hill with a different person.  The two boys made two little snowmen.  Jeff got his shovel and made built up the snow and made a little ramp at the bottom of the hill.  The boys had a great time trying to see who could jump the highest and go the furthest.  The girl and I had a great time on our side of the hill with a little less adventure.  I think we all had a great time with the little bit of snow that we got.  


This is a story about the family and sledding together last year.  This family is some of our cousins that live here in Canada.  My little sister lives in Kansas and would have loved to be her to do this.  she read this story and thought is was too cute, as if she were right here watching it happen that day.  I was reminded of this story as we were watching "In Memory Of" videos.  Wishing that my sister could have been here.
